NEW DATE. Influenced by Argentinean tango master Astor Piazzolla, the European classical school, New York Jazz and Scottish tune forms – 'superduo' Halton Quartet brings music with genuine heart and soul.

Comprising the talents of two of Scotland’s most innovative and captivating duos, The Halton Quartet may be more familiar as Angus Lyon and Ruaridh Campbell, and Wingin’ It. The four met during the 2007 Orkney Folk Festival and have since gone on to make music which is both rich in tradition and boldly forward-looking, with arrangements that expand and develop melodic ideas with imagination, subtlety and brio.

2011 has already seen them getting great attention and international acclaim for their appearance at Celtic Connections, and much anticipation towards their forthcoming album due out this year.
