Farmer Jason

Saturday 31 May 2.00pm

Internationally acclaimed singer-songwriter Jason Ringenberg created his children’s music character Farmer Jason to make music for his daughters.  To his surprise, two cds later, he was playing sell-out children’s shows from Osh Kosh to Oslo in venues ranging from schools and libraries to punk rock clubs.  With a belief that kids and parents can listen to the same music without parents want to blow up the stereo, Farmer Jason introduces listeners to a surprisingly complex musical ecosystem - stylistically free ranging from high energy punk rock to spaced out jazz, the songs, with their stick-in-your-head hooks, also teach subtle lessons about ecology, exercise and history.

Suitable for age 2 - 7 (and their adults!)

£5 adults / £4 children

Tall Stories present How the Giraffe got his Neck

Sunday 8 June 3.00pm
Was it because he had smelly feet?
Have you ever wondered how the giraffe got his long neck, how the leopard got her spots or how the elephant got his trunk?
A genius scientist and an eccentric storyteller bring us their fantastic and almost entirely contradictory versions of how certain amazing animals came to be - and how certain others came not to be (like the incredible duck-billed octopus).
Stories, silliness and a very confused giraffe combine in this ridiculous new show for everyone aged 4 and up...

Tickets £7 adults / under 16's £5
