Alison King and Rosemary Campbell reflect on two Scottish rivers - the Gairn and the Tay - both very different rivers that have their own history and landscape. In this exhibition their natural beauty is reflected in a distinctive and innovative way. Through their use of mixed media, particularly textiles, both artists express their own personal visions of the rivers running.
The exhibition continues until 22nd May and is open 10am -12.30pm weekdays and during all public evening events or by appointment . Also open Sunday 4th May 11am-4.30pm

This is a Banchory Scouts fundraiser to raise funds to benefit the war torn country of Kenya. The Scouts had to cancel a planned trip to the country earlier in the year but hope to sponsor a school in the short term still with the aim that they will be able to travel to the country to carry out voluntary work.
For this evening's fundraiser, Captain Buzby, internationally famous stage hypnotist, will be performing at the Barn. He has sold out venues all over scotland and abroad as one of the most travelled hypnotists in the world and is renowned as a hypnotherapist and mind therapist, as well as for his hilarious stage work.
Doors open at 6.45pm, show starts at 7.30pm.
The show is 2 hours with a 30 min interval.
There will be a licensed bar before and after for those who need Dutch courage as audience participation may be expected.
Stage volunteers must be over 18yrs - no one will be expected to eat onions but a sense of humour is vital!
Tickets are £10 in advance and some may be available on the door
Tickets available from Chris Wardle on 01330 844621 evenings.
Please note the Barn is not selling tickets for this event.

Internationally acclaimed singer-songwriter Jason Ringenberg created his children’s music character Farmer Jason to make music for his daughters. To his surprise, two cds later, he was playing sell-out children’s shows from Osh Kosh to Oslo in venues ranging from schools and libraries to punk rock clubs. With a belief that kids and parents can listen to the same music without parents want to blow up the stereo, Farmer Jason introduces listeners to a surprisingly complex musical ecosystem - stylistically free ranging from high energy punk rock to spaced out jazz, the songs, with their stick-in-your-head hooks, also teach subtle lessons about ecology, exercise and history.
Suitable for age 2 - 7 (and their adults!)
