On the edge of Banchory in Aberdeenshire, Woodend Barn is a hub of creativity, hosting a diverse programme of music, theatre, comedy, dance, film, children’s events, art exhibitions and workshops. We are one of the leading arts centres in Scotland and have been in existence since 1994. We operate with a unique combination of paid staff and volunteers.
We are home to Buchanans Bistro, a beautiful space with views to the hills where you are welcome to eat, converse and reflect - inside on cooler days and alfresco in the sunshine. Our Vision Statement
Our vision is to be valued locally and nationally as a vital, rural hub of creativity, widening access to culture in North-East Scotland. This will be achieved by delivering an innovative, diverse programme, collaborating with a broad range of partners and encouraging participation in the arts in order to enrich the quality of life of local communities and enhance North East Scotland’s cultural offering and reputation.

How to find us:
· Travelling West from Aberdeen
Travelling on the A93 Aberdeen to Braemar; about 1.5 mile after Crathes Castle, (sign posted on the right) and just before you enter the 40 mile an hour limit for Banchory there is a right hand-turn sign posted Hirn and Echt (B977) and a large Tesco. Woodend Barn has a brown tourist sign too, turn right here.
· Travelling East to Aberdeen
Travelling on the A93 Braemar to Aberdeen; drive through Banchory on the A93 and out of the village heading towards Aberdeen. Just after you enter the 60-mile an hour limit after Banchory and just passed the large Tesco, there is a left hand-turn sign posted Hirn and Echt (B977). Woodend Barn has a brown tourist sign too, turn left here.
