Woodend Barn relies upon fund-raising, sponsorship and membership fees, as well as the success of our artistic events to develop and thrive as it has no guaranteed funding.
From as little as £12 per year, your subscription will entitle you to the following:

* Concession means anyone who is claiming benefit or unemployed, in full-time education, senior citizen, disabled. Please provide proof of entitlement.
We’re also looking for Friends of the Barn to become more pro-active in helping us with fund raising activities. If you have experience of fundraising and would like to help, we are looking for a few special people to take the lead on forming and leading a group to support fund raising activities at the Barn.

Becoming a member of Woodend Arts Limited
As well as becoming a friend of Woodend Barn, you have the option of joining Woodend Arts Limited, the organisation which runs the Barn. Once you have become a friend just let us know by contacting mail [at] woodendbarn [dot] co [dot] uk that you would like to join WAL. Please put "Membership of WAL" in the subject.
If you become a Member of WAL, you will enjoy all the priveleges of being a Friend. In addition, you will be entitled to vote at Annual General Meetings (and any extraordinary general meetings).
Woodend Arts Limited (WAL) is a not-for-profit company, limited by guarantee (Company no. 392079). It is also a registered Scottish charity (SC022620). As a not-for-profit company, WAL has no shareholders; any profit which is made is reinvested in the work of the Barn, supporting our programme of events, exhibitions, and workshops. WAL is governed by a board of directors and this board is elected by the Members of WAL at an Annual General Meeting.
MEMBERS have the right to attend the annual general meeting (and any extraordinary general meeting) and have important powers under the articles of association and the Act; in particular, the members elect people to serve as directors and take decisiions in relation to changes to the articles themselves.
Each MEMBER udnertakes that if the company is wound up while he/she is a member (or within one year after he/she ceases to be a member), he/she will contribute - up to a maximum of one pound (£1.00) - to the assets of the company. The directors may, at their discretion, refuse to admit any person to membership.
